Technology Tuesday- OK to Wake Up Alarm Clock

This alarm clock was created for parents that want to snooze in a little longer.  There are a variety of different versions of this alarm clock, but they all work very similar. This clock teaches children to stay in their bed until the color of the clock changes. For example, “Green means ‘it’s okay to get up and go!” whereas red means “wait in bed a little longer”.  The cost ranges between $20.00-$30.00.

At Spectrum Pediatrics, we have heard from many families who have used this alarm clock with their children since they were toddlers. The visuals are clear to children and also turn this routine into a fun game.  Once the clock turns green, wake up!
